Cavalry scout.
Veteran. Engineer.
I'm Tyler Henson: a veteran, software engineer, and founder based in Tacoma. My military service included multiple overseas tours—and it set a lasting standard for how I show up for the work and the people relying on it.

A life in tech that started long before a job title.
I've always been drawn to technology and code. The route into professional software took time, study, and a few hard turns—but every stage made the work more grounded.
- 01Service
Cavalry scout.
Multiple overseas tours taught me the value of preparation, accountability, and seeing a responsibility through. While serving, I also worked toward a computer science degree.
- 02Transition
IT, then deeper.
After the Army, I joined an international company as a Level II IT analyst while transitioning into college. It was a practical next step into the systems I had always wanted to understand.
- 03Build
Engineering with intent.
A coding academy, completed while I was pursuing a master’s degree, sharpened the path. Today I build software, run TourneyTek, and keep making the things I wish already existed.
Software with a real job to do.
Quality, support, and follow-through.
Once I start a task, I stay with it until it's done. Quality and support aren't handoffs at the end of a project—they're part of building something people can count on.
